OLD SCHOOL VIDEO GAMES
Video games have been a part of our culture for almost 50 years and have become somewhat mainstream and at the start of the third generation video games almost became a thing of the past but nintendo came into the picture and saved the industry[fact not opinion]. When people first put in Super Mario bros in that NES, they knew they were going to have treat. In those days people didn't have things like 3d graphics , wi-fi, online game guides, G4tv,save options, and generous checkpoints, you had to beat games by the skin of your teeth. People up to even 10-15 years ago had to work extremely hard just to find a dumb fairy or power up. People used to spend hours, days, and even months trying to beat a boss or get 100% in game, now you can beat a game in 5 weeks or less. I personally like to have online help in my games and faster completion time mean they will need higher replay value. So you ask if i think most games today are easier then those of yesterday[ i say yes]. you ask me do i think that most games being easier make games dull[ if a games good, a games good].
Quick joke: easier games mean fewer smashed TVs, system, and controllers.

ALTERNATIVE COMICS
Recently I have been Reading BONE by Jeff Smith and I have to say it is a wonderful surprise. BONE is a gripping story with a bucket of laughs and suspense at every turn. BONE is a comic book story that deserves a 8.7/10. BONE is a good example of why alternative comic books are a wonderful way tell a story and that they have a place in the American comic book industry. Several major comic book companies have already started using the appeal of alternative comic books to increase sales like dc's vertigo imprint and some have made business models out of making them like fantagraphics or oni press [just to name a few]. Alternative comic books are not a new idea , as they have been a major staple in other countries like Japan, France, and Italy[ just to name a few]. Many famous alternative comic book title such as Art Spiegelman's Mouse or Harvey Pekar's American Splendor are the subject of various intellectual conversations because of the shear detail and complex story telling in some of them. In conclusion, alternative comic books are a great way to tell a story and should not be overlooked by the north American audience.

INDIE COMICS,MOVIES,GAMES
In the world today technology is becoming vastly affordable and easy to obtain. An average person can buy an ipod touch for under $300 and which has, what would have cost over $1000 or more 22 years ago, many app, programs, wi-fi, and a camera. Programs are available that allow you to create and publish web comics for under $150, far less what it would have cost to make a comic book 40 years ago, and show them to the world. With software, skill, and DLC, you can create and publish your own game at low cost, sell it for even less, and still pay your rent. Sites like youtube, facebook, and twitter help you to get your content out there and receive feedback on. If you want examples just on the psn , xbla, dsiware, youtube, and site about web comics and see what i mean.
There has never been such a time in modern history were average people could express their great ideas and share them with the world. Go, create and share with the world today.
